Primary care physicians are highly educated and experienced in providing physical exams and wellness exams, routine checkups, diagnosis, treatment for common illnesses, sick care, immunization and screening tests, treatment for chronic illnesses, health risk assessments, treatment options and plans, personalized recommendations on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and disease management - with a focus on prevention and wellness. They also help coordinate your care with specialists as needed and help you to navigate our complex health care system.
All our primary care physicians are residency-trained and board certified, or board eligible, in family practice or internal medicine. Some of them are even double board certified. They keep up with the latest developments in primary care.
Gwinnett Clinic has seventeen (17) primary care clinics in the metro Atlanta area. Walk-ins and same-day appointments are available, and many of our locations are open 7 days a week with evening hours.
When any medical need arises, you should consult your Gwinnett Clinic primary care provider first. Their goal is to keep you healthy through prevention! When you fall sick, they will do everything possible to get you well quickly. If your illness cannot be cured, they will diagnose your condition and help you to manage it to prevent long-term complications, whenever possible.
